The main crux of the argument that Ms. Jacobs puts forward is that North American society is heading for a Dark Age, because of the decline of certain pillars of our civilization. Suffice it to say that I now understand the fuss about virtuoso violinists. And violins. At the end of Meditation From The Opera Thais, (Jules Massenet), everyone was silent. I could actually hear people inhale together before they applauded.

This nano was an experience I was not expecting. I have devoted my life to writing in November for the past two years, (my family can attest to this) and word count has never been the issue. I mean yes, I usually burned out at about day 25, but I was already at 66,000 words, or some such thing.
